# Fokuus API documentation: endpoints, OpenAPI and examples

A small API for public information. Responses are JSON; full page content is also available as Markdown.

## Endpoints

- `GET /api/v1`: endpoint index, version and rate limit.
- `GET /api/v1/organization`: business and contact details.
- `GET /api/v1/services`: services and source links.
- `GET /api/v1/pricing`: published prices excluding VAT.
- `GET /api/v1/search?q=website&limit=5`: search public pages; up to 200 characters and 20 results.
- `GET /api/v1/pages?url=https://fokuus.be/`: full public page as Markdown.

## Errors and limits

Invalid input returns 400, unknown routes 404, unsupported methods 405. Errors include error.code, error.message and error.hint.

Every response carries `RateLimit-Policy: "per-ip";q=120;w=60`: up to 120 requests per 60 seconds per IP address. Non-cacheable responses also report the current state in `RateLimit`, with r (remaining) and t (seconds until the window resets). Above the limit you get a 429 with `Retry-After` and an `application/problem+json` error; wait at least that many seconds. Cache public data where possible and never put personal information in queries.

## Versions

The major version is part of the path (`/api/v1`). Deprecation is announced with the `Deprecation` and `Sunset` headers, at least 90 days before a version stops working. Read the [versioning and deprecation policy](https://fokuus.be/en/docs/versioning/) .

## Protected website forms

Contact, newsletter, calculator and AI check forms are not public agent tools. Existing consent, Turnstile and limits still apply. The public API exposes no report tokens or customer data.
